Back At It

It's been a little while since my last entry, I've been a little busy between my four jobs, but yeah I'm back. To clarify on the jobs, three of them are part-time and one is full-time, so I'm really not all that busy. I started mosquito abatement (a.k.a. master abating ;) last wednesday and it's been kinda sketchy so far, mainly due to the weather. Can't it just be spring already w/out the snow?? Jeez it's snowed almost every day at work, but you can't control the weather. The frustrating thing though has been digging out these freaking beaver dams. And moving rocks from ditches and streams. My boss is obsessed w/ both of these things and it's quite frustrating. I mean sure, taking out some of the dams helps improve the water flow, but good grief, we don't have to take ones out that span a whole river! Speaking of rivers, my first day on the job, we were taking out a beaver dam and I discovered that I had a hole in my boot--not good when you're standing in like 40 degree weather. My toes went numb for a little bit :) Ha then on monday, my boss had us take these huge rocks out of a stream that was already flowing. I took out my frustrations on the rocks, as I launched them up the hillside. Goodness it was such a waste of time! But hey, there are worse jobs out there.

K then today was my first day of teaching golf at the elementary here in town. I was only anticipating 5 kids coming, but there ended up being 10! Not a huge deal, but the kids are like age 6-9, so it's kinda hard to keep their attention between the two stations, plus we had to be inside, so that's kinda hard too, cuz you can't do a whole lot. One little guy, Zander, kinda had a rough time--he's a pretty tender kid, like he cried three or four times, cuz he felt like some kids weren't being fair to him, but I did my best to help him out and gave him his own mat to hit on and he really liked that. I hope I'm doing some good w/ these kids, not only to help them gain an interest in their golf game and improve, but also just in dealing w/ other kids and developing their manners and what not. All the kids are really good kids, like there's one who's a little bugger sometimes, but overall they're a good bunch. I love teaching them though, it's a lot of fun :) I'd like to coach them in basketball, too, or maybe just basketball in general, but we'll see.

Let's see...I watched the movie 'The Book of El' and it's probly my favorite movie right now. It swears a bit, but man is it a good movie and has a good movie. I would highly recommend watching it, it's a great one and it has Denzel Washington. Who doesn't like Denzel?
-I've kinda got a huge crush on Katy Perry lately. She used to bug me, but she doesn't anymore. Ha ha and her new song, E.T., is pretty sweet, I've gotta admit. She is a very good looking girl :)
-I didn't play a round of golf in March (my goal was to play in every month of the year), but I hit the driving range and taught some golf classes, so that counts, right?
-I think I said this before, but Lady GaGa needs to go away. And soon. Pretty please.
-The men's basketball championship game was BORING!!! 53-41, for a men's game? Ridiculous.
-The rec center in Heber now has a golf simulator, plus a putting green and tons of basketball hoops to shoot on, so I have a feeling I'll be visiting it a lot :)
-I don't really like to wear black, like black slacks to church, nor black interior in cars, simply because I'm a clean freak and hate it when all the hairs collect on them. It drives me nuts!
-I ate some Peruvian food tonight and I was pretty nervous about it, not gonna lie, but it was SOOO good! I would definitely go there again, definitely :)
-The Jazz pretty much suck now, I'll admit it. They play zero defense and struggle scoring on the offensive end. It's so frustrating to watch them, but I hope they'll turn it around and have a much better year next year.
-Lastly, I have this thought for a scented facemask, ya know like the kind you wear for working/painting. Is that a good idea, or kinda lame?
